Summary

In pure marine air masses measured at the west coast of Ireland mixing ratios of NO2 were found to be lower than 100 pptv and mixing ratios of NO were lower than 10 pptv most of the time. In addition a diurnal variation in the mixing ratios of NO2 was found with higher daytime values than at night, 84 ± 49 pptv NO2 overall and 37 ± 6 pptv NO2 at night.
