Zusammenfassung

Die Natur- und Ingenieurwissenschaften benutzen sehr häufig Differentialgleichungen und Feldtheorien zur Beschreibung von natürlichen Vorgängen und der Arbeitsweise von Produkten. Da Differentialgleichungen geometrisch als Vektor- und Tensorfelder gedeutet werden können, ergibt sich ein riesiger Anwendungsbereich, der ständig nach neuen Methoden zur Visualisierung verlangt, seitdem die graphischen Möglichkeiten auch bezahlbarer Computer eine Verwendung zur Analyse von Meßdaten und Simulationen zulassen.
