Abstract

In chapters 5 and 6 it was described how to output data by means of the printer and also how to input data. In order to do this, the WRITE statement (cf. page 38) and two types of the READ statement (cf. page 52 and 58) in conjunction with format declarations were described. The experience gained will now be extended to “files”.
