Zusammenfassung

Strategie ist bedauerlicherweise mehr und mehr zum gängigen Schlagwort innerhalb der Managementtheorie und -praxis geworden. Die Begriffe «Strategie» oder «strategisch» werden häufig lediglich dazu verwendet, die allgemeine Bedeutung von Entscheidungen, Handlungen oder Aussagen zu unterstreichen. Diese inflationäre Verwendung hat zudem zur Folge, dass der eigentliche Begriffsinhalt erodiert und an Aussagekraft einbüsst. Das Wort Strategie stammt aus der militärischen Fachsprache und bedeutet «Heerführung» oder «Feldherrnkunst», womit die Fähigkeit zum (militärischen) Handeln im generellen und umfassenden Sinne gemeint ist (vgl. Rühli, 1991, S. 18).
