Abstract

Beginning with the explanation of some basic principles, there will be shown representative chosen expert systems working in industries. Afterwards, the results of a project at the University of Bremen, the development of different expert system versions and the problems related to diagnosis of malfunctions of equiped printed circuit boards, are discussed.
