Zusammenfassung

Nur wenige Makrovariablen sind so häufig mit politischer Instabilität1, kollektivem Protest2 und politischer Gewalt3 in Verbindung gebracht worden wie ökonomische Entwicklung und Wirtschaftswachstum. Dabei ging es weniger um die ökonomischen Konsequenzen interner politischer Konflikte4, als vielmehr umgekehrt um die Auswirkungen der ökonomischen Entwicklung auf kollektiven Protest und politische Gewalt5.
