Vgl. dazu Zschau, Edwin Van Wyck: A Primal Decomposition Algorithm …, a.a.O., S. 48 und Balas, Egon: An Infeasibility Pricing Method for Linear Programs. Operations Research, 14. Jg. 1966, S. 847 ff.

Vgl. Dantzig, George B.: Lineare Programmierung und Erweiterungen …, a.a.O., S. 118 ff.
A Primal Decomposition Algorithm …, a.a.O., S. 53 ff.
The procedure should not require any division to reveal to headquarters detailed information concerning its technology and (divisional) ressource supplies, what decision alternatives it has, or which of the decision alternatives it plans to select. b) The procedure should not require any division to communicate directly with any other division. c) The procedure should give only one directive to the divisions: Maximize your own returns given the resources that headquarters has allotted to you”, Zschau, Edwin Van Wyck: A Primal Decomposition Algorithm …, a.a.O., S. 3 f.

Zum empirischen Test dieser Hypothese vgl. Porter, Lyman W.; Lawler, Edward E.: Managerial Attitudes and Performance …, a.a.O., S. 72 ff.

Detailproblems finden sich in Appendix II bei Porter, Lyman W.; Lawler III, Edward E.: Managerial Attitudes and Performance …, a.a.O., S. 190 ff.
Ein Überblick über eine Vielzahl von Studien, die diese Beziehunguntersuchen, findet sich bei Brayfield, Arthur H.; Crockett, Walter H.: Employee Attitudes and Employee Performance. Psychological Bulletin, 52. Jg. 1955, S. 396 ff. sowie Vroom, Victor H.: Work and Motivation …, a.a.O., S. 99 ff.
Vgl. Porter, Lyman W.; Lawler III, Edward E.: Managerial Attitudes and Performance …, a.a.O., S. 132 ff.
Vgl. Katzell, Raymond A.; Berret, Richard S.; Parker, Treadway C.: Job Satisfaction, Job Performance, and Situational Characteristics. Journal of Applied Psychology, 45. Jg. 1961, S. 71.
Vgl. hierzu Lawler III, Edward E.; Porter, Lyman E.: Predicting Managers Pay and Their Satisfaction with Their Pay. In: Readings in Organizational Behavior and Human Performance …, a.a.O., S. 495 ff.
Vgl. dazu Aldrich, Howard E.: Technology and Organizational Structure: A Reexamination of the Findings of the Aston Group. Administrative Science Quarterly, 17. Jg. 1972, S. 30.
Vgl. Kahn, Robert L.; Wolfe, Donald M.; Quinn, Robert P.; Snoek, J. Diedrick: Organizational Stress. Studies in Role Conflict and Ambiguity; New York — London — Sydney (1964), S. 30.

Vgl. Hulin, Charles L.; Blood, Milton R.: Job Enlargement, Individual Differences, and Worker Responses. In: Readings in Organizational Behavior and Human Performance …, a.a.O., S. 388. Vgl. Porter, LymanW.: Job Attitude sin Management: I. Perceived Deficiencies in Need Fulfillment as a Function of Job Level. Journal of Applied Psychology, 46. Jg. 1962, S. 375 ff.

Zur Technik der Pfadanalyse vgl. etwa Land, Kenneth C.: Principles of Path Analysis. In: Sociological Methodology, hrsg. von Edgar F. Borgatta, San Francisco 1969, S. 5 ff.
Ein Anwendungsbeispiel der Pfadanalyse auf den Zusammenhang zwischen Technologie, Größe und Organisationssturktur ist zu finden bei Aldrich, Howard E.: Technology and Organizational Structure …, a.a.O., S. 29 ff.
Auf diese Vorteile der Pfadanalyse weist hin Aldrich, Howard E.: Technology and Organizational Structure …, a.a.O., S. 38 ff.
Vgl. Morse, John J.: Organizational Characteristics …, a.a.O., S. 84 ff.
