Computation of Viscous Transonic Flows Using an Unsteady Type Method and a Zonal Grid Refinement Technique

  • Chapter
Numerical Simulation of Compressible Navier-Stokes Flows

Part of the book series: Notes on Numerical Fluid Mechanics ((NNFM,volume 18))

Abstract

The Navier-Stokes equations are numerically solved by an unsteady type method with an explicit predictor-corrector scheme. The equations are discretized in conservative form using MacCormack’s finite difference scheme directly in the physical plane on an arbitrary curvilinear mesh. This discretization method is described in [1, 2].
