Zusammenfassung

Ich finde es hilfreich, eine Art realistischer Hypothese über den gegenwärtigen Stand der Theoriebildung aufzustellen: Was, wenn bestehende Theorien — und die mit ihnen verbundenen Forschungsmethoden — in Wirklichkeit verschiedene Seiten ein und desselben komplexen Prozesses artikulieren? Was, wenn sie alle wahr sind, aber nur, so weit sie reichen, wahr für jene Teile des Prozesses, den sie am klarsten im Blickfeld haben? Was, wenn sie alle falsch oder unvollständig sind und zur Irreführung neigen, insofern sie nur partiell sind und deshalb den Prozeß nicht als ganzen begreifen können? Was, wenn Versuche zur “Ausweitung” dieser Kompetenz (ohne Modifikation der Theorie) zu wirklich schlimmen und gefährlichen (ideologischen?) Schlußfolgerungen führen?
