Zusammenfassung
In Branchen wie Telekommunikation, Luftfahrt oder Finanzdienstleistungen sind im Laufe des letzten Jahrzehntes Kooperationen entstanden, die in Form und Substanz über bislang bekannte Muster weit hinausgehen. Namen wie Star Alliance, One World, AT&T Unisource oder Global One stehen für globale Allianzsysteme, in denen die beteiligten Unternehmen nicht mehr nur als Dyade, sondern als Netzwerk, nicht mehr nur in einer oder wenigen, sondern in einer Vielzahl von Wertschöpfungsaktivitäten, und nicht mehr zeitlich befristet, sondern mit offenem Ausgang eng zusammenarbeiten. Die Eigendynamik und Komplexität dieser Gebilde ist beachtlich, ihre Entwicklung oft unberechenbar und sprunghaft, wie die Ereignisse der letzten Jahre belegen. Während einige Allianzsysteme bereits nach wenigen Jahren wieder auseinanderfallen, erfreuen sich andere eines stetigen Zulaufs an neuen Mitgliedern, und wieder andere sind Vorstufe für anschliessende Fusionen.
