Verbände und Verbandssysteme in Westeuropa

Zusammenfassung

Markantes Merkmal des britischen Gemeinwesens und prägender Faktor für sein System organisierter Interessen ist eine hochgradig kontinuierlich verlaufene Verfassungsgeschichte. Da insbesondere das Parlament aus mittelalterlichen Anfngen fortgebildet worden ist, hat sich für soziale Interessen über multifunktional angelegte tra-ditionale Personenverbände (townships, boroughs, gilds u.a.) bereits in der frühen Neuzeit ein legitimer Zugang zum politischen Entscheidungssystem ergeben (Beer 1965: 15–20; Conniff 1977; Fraenkel 1991: 56f., 159–163). Zugleich haben neuzeitlich-voluntative Vereinigungen an überkommene Institutionen anknüpfen und diese relativ stetig fortentwickeln können.
