Verlockende Reiseziele in beliebiger Ferne und großer Vielfalt lassen die Urlaubsplanung häufig zu einem schwierigen Entscheidungsproblem werden: Das Angebot an Reisezielen und -arrangements und mithin die Informationsflut für den Urlaubsplaner ist nahezu unüberschaubar. Darüber hinaus ist eine Vielzahl individueller Rahmenbedingungen zu berücksichtigen, wie Terminvorgaben am Arbeitsplatz und in der Familie oder finanzielle Restriktionen.
