Abstract
The operational basic data of a company and its’ quality are the fundamental basis for a successful procedure of business processes. Herewith it is important, that the master data optimally support a single transaction (e.g. customer order), an overlapping view (e.g. company controlling) and the organizational structure of a company in the same way. The master data in module SD meet these requirements. On the one hand, e.g. customer- and material master data are extraordinarily outlined for the requirements in the sales; on the other hand the requirements of the financial accounting or material management are realized in the same master data, by the unique master data concept. Beyond that, in the master data the possibility is reflected, to adjust the system to organizational conditions. A comprehensive authorization concept serves for the protection of the master data.
