Abstract
In the passing years supply chain management (SCM) has grown an important concept of company management, which is paid attention to. In the scope of this new management concept, the idea of the Lean Management is spread over the entire value added chain. Herewith the elimination of company internal extravagancies along the value added chain is strived for. SCM can have a variety of functions, which shall now be presented in a brief survey.
