Summary

In a test area in Upper Bavaria, consisting of two profiles with 5 boreholes each, horizontal tidal accelerations were measured by 2 borhole tiltmeters in a first campaign from 1970 to 19 75 and by 4 borehole tiltmeters in a second campaign from 1976 to 1977. If possible the recordings were carried out parai lely and analysed with the method of VENEDIKOV [1].

A further information which is directly connected with the observed data may be derived from the daily drift signal of the pendulums. Eight years after boring, the main values for the drift rates have decreased to about 60 per cent. The special drilling of the borehole disturbs sensitively the balance within the undisturbed soil.

For simultaneous recordings of two pendulums it is possible to show the influence from a small earthquake on the drift directions of the pendulums.
