Zusammenfassung
Wir sind heute, über 100 Jahre nach Darwin, endlich so weit, daß die Evolution des Menschen in weiten Kreisen als Tatsache betrachtet wird und nicht mehr als Hypothese, die wahr sein kann oder auch nicht. Die Zeiten, als Haeckel seinen „Kampf um den Entwicklungsgedanken“ schrieb, sind vorbei, und die zahlreichen Bücher über die älteste Geschichte des Menschen, die seit dem Kriege erschienen sind, die vielen Berichte in Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, sie alle zeigen, daß ein breites Publikum entwicklungsbewußter geworden ist.
