Zusammenfassung
Im Gegensatz zu der Strahlung, die von technischen Sendern zur Nachrichtenübermittlung abgestrahlt wird, ist die Strahlung, mit der man es in der passiven Mikrowellenradiometrie zu tun hat, eine ungeordnete Strahlung. Es handelt sich um ein Gemisch von statistisch voneinander unabhängigen Wellenzügen unterschiedlicher Frequenz und Phasenlage. Man bezeichnet eine solche Strahlung nach dem akustischen Eindruck im hörbaren Niederfrequenzbereich als Rauschstrahlung. Wegen der statistischen Natur der Strahlung muß man zu ihrer Charakterisierung mit zeitlichen Mittelwerten arbeiten.
