Instrumentation for Chemical and Structural Analysis in Materials Science and Nuclear Physics — A Conference Summary

  • Chapter
Nuclear Physics Methods in Materials Research

Abstract

Materials Science rests on the conviction that the properties of materials (and especially those which are relevant for engineering design) are essentially determined by microstructure. This approach has been justified by success in rationalizing the behaviour of existing materials, and in developing new ones.
