Zusammenfassung
In den letzten Jahren sind eine Reihe von Vorschlägen vorgebracht worden, um eine allgemeine Systemtheorie zu entwickeln, die von allen speziellen Eigenschaften absieht, die physikalische, biologische oder soziale Systeme besitzen, die jedoch auf sie alle anwendbar wäre1. Wir mögen empfinden, daß — wenn auch das Ziel lobenswert ist — Systeme so verschiedener Art kaum einige nichttriviale Eigenschaften gemeinsam haben dürfen. Metapher und Analogie können von Hilfe sein oder sie können fehlleiten. Alles hängt davon ab, ob die Ähnlichkeiten, die die Metapher einfängt, kennzeichnend oder oberflächlich sind.
