Das Verfahren von Bernoulli liefert lediglich Näherungen betragsgrößter oder betragskleinster Wurzeln eines Polynoms. Eine Verallgemeinerung ist das QD-Schema von Rutishauser (1954), es liefert in bestimmten Fällen Näherungen für alle Wurzeln.
