Zusammenfassung
Das in Kapitel 6 angeschnittene und durch Sensitivitätsbetrachtungen analysierte Problem der Unsicherheit über den tatsächlichen Wert von Systemgrößen wird nochmals aufgegriffen. Es wird gezeigt, wie zusätzliche, im Zeitverlauf anfallende Informationen über das betrachtete System durch Anwendung der linearen Filtertheorie zur sukzessiven Verbesserung des Modells genutzt werden können. Dazu wird zunächst allgemein das Schätzproblem bei linearen stochastischen Systemen erläutert und ein Instrument zu seiner Lösung in Form des diskreten Kaiman-Filters hergeleitet (Abschnitt 7.1).
