Abstract

Until now we have applied the unified nuclear theory formulated in chapter 4 mainly to numerical studies of bound-state and reaction problems. In the following chapters, we shall show how this theory can also be used for discussions of more general character, as, for instance, the derivation of Breit-Wigner resonance formulae, direct-reaction theories, and so on.
