Zusammenfassung

Erste Behandlungsziele des Arztes in einer Notfallsituation, auch beim schizophrenen Patienten, sind:

  • Orientierung über Bewusstseinslage, Vitalfunktionen und Schweregrad der Erkrankung. Das dient überwiegend dem Ausschluss organisch verursachter seelischer Erkrankungen.

  • Führen eines ruhigen Gespräches, das diagnostische und therapeutische Funktionen hat.

  • Erhebung eines ersten groben psychopathologischen Befundes(s. Kap. A 3.4).

  • Körperliche Untersuchung mit Erhebung des neurologischen Befundes und evtl. notwendigen Labortests (s. Kap. A 3.3).

  • Erste diagnostische Überlegungen, welche Art von seelischer Erkrankung, ggf. welches schizophrene Syndrom (s. Kap. A 2.2.1) zu erkennen ist.

  • Durchführung erster therapeutischer Maßnahmen (s. Kap. A 4).
