Zusammenfassung

In diesem Hauptpunkt erfolgt ein genereller Einstieg in die Thematik. Zu umweltgerechtem Wirtschaften fuhren zwei nur auf die erste Sicht unterschiedliche Betrachtungsweisen. Beide Zutritte hängen über den Nachfragemarkt und die Sozialverantwortung des Unternehmens zusammen. Es handelt sich um Gründe, die einerseits aus der Wirtschaftsethik, andererseits aus der Betriebswirtschaft heraus argumentiert werden. Daher wird in diesem Kapitel eine ethische Grundpositionierung anhand dreier Imperative vorgenommen. Diese Grundpositionierung fordert nicht nur, wie eingangs beschrieben, die Notwendigkeit von umweltgerechtem Management aus ideellen Gründen, sondern hat noch folgende Funktion: einerseits wird der Forderung der Offenlegung des philosophischen Grundgerüstes beim Treffen von Werturteilen Folge geleistet und andererseits hat die Ethik wesentlichen Einfluß auf die Definition des Lebenszieles des Unternehmens und auch auf Fragen der Unternehmenskultur.
