  • Chapter
Digital Products

Abstract

This contribution is not intended to give a technical overview on STEP (STandard for the Exchange of Productdata). Rather, the goal is to share some of the key experiences the author has collected during a period of almost four years (1995–99) implementing a STEP processor for the exchange of CAD data between volume modellers and being a representative at the vendor round tables at ProSTEP and PDES, Inc.
