Abstract
Although it is a commonly accepted idea, Reverse Engineering does not mean Surface Reconstruction alone. Model controls using target criteria (Target Driven Design) can also be considered as belonging to Reverse Engineering. In the following presentation both aspects are discussed, the first one is illustrated by a general topic on the Surface Reconstruction current approach at MATRA DATAVISION, and the second one by an example of Target Driven Design applied to the control of planar curve shape by using a target curvature map.
