Zusammenfassung
In vielen Bereichen, in denen Modellierung oder Spezifikation von Informationssystemen erforderlich sind, wird gegenwärtig von den meisten Forschern aber auch von vielen Anwendern in der Praxis Objektorientierung als die Lösung betrachtet. Wir halten diese Fixierung auf einen Ansatz für eine einseitige, gegebenenfalls auch gefährliche Position und warnen vor den absehbaren Folgen, die ein unkritischer Einsatz objektorientierter Methoden nachsichziehen kann. Anhand einiger ausgewählter Bereiche wollen wir in diesem Beitrag auf Beschränkungen und Risiken objektorientierter Methoden hinweisen.
