Abstract
If 10 days is a long time in politics, 10 years is virtually unthinkable. This may turn out to be the crux of what environmentalists are now calling the predicament of mankind. Evidently the world cannot sustain unlimited growth with limited resources—but how many politicians believe that this has anything to do with the politics of this year or next?
