Der erste Teil des Titels dieser Arbeit lautet: Die Entstehung multinationaler Banken. Gesucht wird nach einer Erklärung, wieso nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eine beständig wachsende Anzahl von Banken in anderen Ländern Niederlassungen gründete und von dort aus oder in diesen Ländern Geschäfte führt.
