Zusammenfassung
Von Robert Bosch heißt es, er habe den Geschäftsgrundsatz aufgestellt: Lieber Geld verlieren als Vertrauen. Die Schaffung und Aufrechterhaltung des Vertrauenskapitals der Firma bei den Kunden und Lieferanten war ihm mehr wert als die Nutzung kurzfristiger Gewinnchancen. In dem Verfahren gegen die Firma Merck, Darmstadt, erhob das Bundeskartellamt den später vom Bundesgerichtshof als unbegründet zurückgewiesenen Vorwurf, das Unternehmen habe sein Vertrauenskapital ausgenutzt, um von seinen Kunden mißbräuchlich hohe Preise zu verlangen. Vertrauen ist also offenbar eine wichtige Einflußgröße für die Unternehmenspolitik und ein bedeutsames Kriterium für die wettbewerbspolitische Beurteilung von Märkten.
