Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel ist dem magnetischen Zustand der behandelten Oxide, d. h. den mit der Anordnung magnetischer Momente verbundenen Fragen, gewidmet. Ähnlich wie im vorigen, die Kristallstrukturen behandelnden Kapitel, werden wir auch hier unser Hauptaugenmerk auf ferrimagnetische Stoffe richten, die — wie uns aus den vorhergehenden Erläuterungen bekannt ist — durch nicht äquivalente magnetische Substrukturen charakterisiert werden, welche man in der Regel als (ferrimagnetische) Untergitter bezeichnet (Abschn. 1.3,2.1 und 2.5). Dabei können wir in gewissem Sinne sowohl ferromagnetische als auch antiferromagnetische Oxide in unsere Darlegung als spezielle Fälle einbeziehen; den Ferromagnetismus kann man nämlich als den Grenzfall des Ferrimagnetismus mit einem einzigen magnetischen Untergitter betrachten, während sich der Antiferromagnetismus vom Ferrimagnetismus dadurch unterscheidet, daß Scine Untergitter äquivalent sind.
