Zusammenfassung

Für die heute als bipolare Störung bezeichnete Erkrankung wurde früher der Begriff „manisch-depressive Erkrankung“ gewählt. Zum so genannten bipolaren Spektrum gehören neben der Bipolar-I- auch die Bipolar-II-Erkrankung sowie die Zyklothymia, das hyperthyme bzw. zyklothyme Temperament und die pseudo-unipolare Verlaufsform. Die nähere Beschreibung dieser verschiedenen Subtypen der bipolaren Spektrumserkrankung kann aus Tab. 3 entnommen werden.
