Zusammenfassung

Prolaktin unterliegt, ebenso wie andere neuroendokrine Systeme, der Beeinflussung durch externe und interne Variablen (siehe Abb. 10). Von den Neurotransmittern spielen, wie in Abb. 11 dargestellt, Dopamin und Serotonin die wichtigste Rolle. Während Dopamin die Ausschüttung hemmt, bewirkt Serotonin eine Aktivierung der Prolaktinsekretion. Eine Hemmung der dopaminergen tuberoinfundibulären Bahnen, die z.B. durch typische Neuroleptika initiiert wird, resultiert in einem Prolaktinanstieg.
