Zusammenfassung
Milchsäurebakterien (MSB) sind die entscheidenden Mikroorganismen der Silierung. Sie kommen normalerweise in der epiphytischen Mikroflora von Futterpflanzen vor und gelangen zusammen mit anderen Keimgruppen in den Silo, wo sie unter siliertechnisch günstigen Ausgangsbedingungen durch rasche Vermehrung und aktiven Stoffwechsel den konservierenden Prozeß der Futtergärung erwirken.
