Zusammenfassung

Aluminium wird bei niedrigem pH in die Bodenlösung freigesetzt (vgL SCHEFFER-SCHACHTSCHABEL 1992). Erhöhte Aluminiumkonzentrationen hemmen das Wurzelwachstum (MacLEOD und JACKSON 1967). Aluminiumtoxizität ist ein Hauptfaktor bei der Ertragsminderung auf sauren Böden der humiden Tropen (MARSCHNER 1986). Aber auch im gemäßigten Klima unter humiden Standortbedingungen kann Aluminiumtoxizität ein zu beachtender Faktor sein. Aluminiumtoxizität wurde auch als eine der Ursachen fir die “neuartigen Waldschäden„ in die Diskussion gebracht (ULRICH et al. 1979).
