Zusammenfassung

Die Entwicklung der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik (IKT) hat dazu geführt, daß die Kosten für die Suche, Übertragung und Speicherung von Informationen dramatisch gesenkt werden konnten. Welche Auswirkungen haben die Fortschritte in der IKT auf die Effizienz der Koordination in alternativen Koordinationsstrukturen?1 In diesem Papier wird die Hypothese aufgestellt, daß in einer komparativen Betrachtung der Markt durch den Einfluß von IKT gegenüber der Hierarchie an Effizienz gewinnt.
