Betriebssystem. Als 1972 die ersten Mikroprozessoren vollständig auf einem Silikon-plättchen (Chip) Platz fanden, fehlte die Software für diesen „Ein-Chip-Computer“. Da sie den Betrieb des Prozessors/Rechners steuerte, nannte man sie das Betriebssystem.
