Zusammenfassung
Die Internet-Technologie ermöglicht im Gegensatz zur früheren, häufig proprietären oder heterogenen Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien heute räumlich unbegrenzte Kommunikationsbeziehungen, die durch ein hohes Maß an Interaktivität und Spontaneität gekennzeichnet sind. Die zunehmende Kapazität der weltweiten Kommunikationsnetze ermöglicht verstärkt den elektronischen Echtzeit-Transport von multimedialen Informationen (insbesondere Audio, Video), die z.B. in der Kommunikation mit dem Kunden zum Einsatz kommen.
