Zusammenfassung
Trendfolgesysteme werden oft als Mittel zum Erreichen einer Outperformance gepriesen. Weniger bekannt ist ihre Eigenschaft der Risikoreduzierung. Dabei folgt die Eigenschaft der Risikoreduzierung unmittelbar aus der Tatsache, dass Trendfolgesysteme den Investor früher oder später auf die richtige Seite des Trends bringen. Vor allem ausgeprägte Abwärtstrends werden praktisch von jedem Trendfolgesystem als solche erkannt. Der Investor nimmt dann am Abwärtstrend nicht teil, mit der Folge einer geringeren Schwankung des Portfolios.
