Abstract
As the economic stagnation of continental Europe was the focus of attention in the 1980s and the booms built on the information/ communication revolution were the focus in the 1990s, so the distinctive advance of the Chinese economy has been at the center of economic discussion in the present decade. In this paper I will sketch a model of China’s growth mechanism, focusing on its technological and trade elements. This mechanism is already having several impacts on the rest of the world.
