Zusammenfassung
At the start of the 21st century, the nonprofit organisation (NPO) persists, but in the face of significant challenges to its continued survival. This can be depicted on two levels: (1) the changing world in which NPOs operate, which can be seen as a hostile environment, and (2) the challenges to the nature of NPOs and their practices which may threaten their continued existence.
