Abstract

This chapter contains reviews of four groups of literature relevant to this dissertation: 1) foreign exchange, 2) foreign exchange risk management, 3) Real Options and 4) global supply chain management. The literature review is followed by a consolidation of the criticisms of existing global supply chain models, and the areas identified for further research in the literature to date. There is some degree of overlap between sections of this literature review as it is intended to serve as a reference containing summaries of articles and contributions that a reader can refer to in isolation.
