Zusammenfassung
Dieser Artikel untersucht den Einfluss zeitlicher Einbettung auf Vertrauen in dyadischen Beziehungen. Wir formalisieren die zeitliche Einbettung der Akteure als ein wiederholtes Vertrauensspiel ohne Exitoptionen. Dies ermöglicht die Analyse des Einflusses der gemeinsamen Vergangenheit, der gemeinsamen Zukunft sowie der Anreizstruktur der jeweiligen Spiele auf das Verhalten des Vertrauensgebers. Wir betrachten Vertrauen in dyadischen Beziehungen als eine Art Sozialkapital und leiten Hypothesen bezüglich des Verhaltens des Vertrauensgebers aus dieser Kapitalstocküberlegung ab. Ein experimenteller Test zeigt die erwarteten Lern- und Kontrolleffekt der Vergangenheit und der Zukunft. Zudem zeigt sich, dass lediglich die Anreizstruktur des gegenwärtigen Spiels das Verhalten des Vertrauensgebers beeinflusst. Anreizstrukturen vergangener und zukünftiger Spiele sind dagegen nicht verhaltenssteuernd.
