Zusammenfassung
Wie in keiner anderen Institution wird die Lebenssituation der Insassen in der Haft durch besondere Belastungen geprägt. Goffman konnte mit seinen Analysen zeigen, dass dies mit gewissen Modifikationen für psychiatrische Einrichtungen, Kasernen, Schiffe, Arbeitslager und Internate gilt (Goffman 1973). Für die Zeit ihres Aufenthalts in der Haft müssen die Insassen deutliche Einschränkungen in ihren alltäglichen Lebensvollzügen, ihren sozialen Beziehungen und in der Ausübung ihrer Grundrechte hinnehmen. Diese allgemeine Aussage wird sicher durch weitergehende empirische Aussagen zu den sozialen und psychischen Folgen der Haft zu spezifizieren sein1.
