Abstract
In the previous chapters we have discussed multigrid solvers, adaptive mesh refinement and mesh partitioning by space-filling curves. Now we are in a position to combine these methods. We will have a look at multigrid on a sequence of adaptively refined meshes, parallel multigrid methods, adaptive mesh methods on parallel computers and finally the combination of all three by an adaptive parallel multigrid method.
