Abstract
Education, training and capacity building have been the central threads in my community practice, irrespective of my specific work context. In this chapter, I reflect on how my teaching and learning approach developed over time and how the theories embodied in my practice influenced my work. I then share my views on and experiences of capacity building in community contexts and education and training in higher education contexts, including the professional development of psychologists. I conclude this chapter by sharing my experiences of supervision and mentoring in academic and community contexts.
