Abstract

When dealing with an LGBT family, it is necessary to set aside one’s own cultural and social prejudices and to review the individual and his/her family from a systemic point of view, avoiding generalizations or designating them a minority issue. Studies confirm similar aspects of sexual growth, development, and identity among same-sex parent children and heterosexual parent children.
