Abstract
Chronic pain is associated with higher levels of many mental illnesses, including depressive, anxiety, trauma-related, and substance use disorders. These comorbidities can make treatment of pain more challenging. This chapter reviews the most common psychiatric comorbidities associated with chronic pain and their impact on pain treatment.
