Abstract

Several herbal medications have reported analgesic and anti-arthritic effects. There is some evidence to support use of turmeric, devil’s claw, and boswellia for osteoarthritis. Presented are mechanisms of action, pain-related uses, contraindications, adverse effects, and drug-drug interactions for turmeric, devil’s claw, and boswellia.
