Abstract
The US business community shares a common goal to help European society maximize the opportunities of globalization and technological change. Business should work with policymakers and stakeholders to proactively shape globalization to its values and interests and promote a better future for EU businesses and citizens, including by anticipating and responding to changes brought on by the rapidly evolving global economy. The EU should also continue to endorse and seek to reinforce the European unity and values that make it a crucial market for US companies and an excellent place to invest. This includes playing a constructive role in promoting an EU trade policy that is effective, adaptable, and implementable for businesses and citizens.
